Who is eligible for an Award?
Individuals: Any supporter of Darlington Football Club who has demonstrated a continuous outstanding contribution which has far exceeded expectations over a period of time.
Groups: Group members must be able to demonstrate collectively that they have contributed an outstanding contribution far exceeding expectations in their support of Darlington Football Club. A group must contain at least 2 adults over the age of 18 years.
Families: Families must comprise at least 2 people on of which should be an adult over the age of 18.
Who can make a nomination?
Anyone can nominate someone for an award.

How does the selection process work?
All winners of a Commendation Award are chosen by the Committee of Darlington F.C. Supporters Club.
It is intended to issue Commendation Awards to individuals/groups/families at the following times:
- December
- January
- March
- May
Winners of a Commendation Award will be automatically eligible to be considered for the Committee Award which is awarded each year at the Player of the Year Awards Evening and chosen overall by the Committee of Darlington F.C. Supporters Club.
What happens when an award is made?
All Commendation Award winners will attend a short ceremony before a designated match pitchside. The award will be made by John Hart, Chairman of the Darlington Supporters Club and the winner(s) will receive:
- A special certificate to mark their achievement
- A bottle of champagne
- A commemorative photograph of the ceremony
IMPORTANT:
Please note that you are required to obtain the nominee's permission before a nomination is made. All information supplied by the nominator will be checked with the nominee for accuracy before a decision on an award is made.
